This position is responsible for assisting the Finance Department with its' Revenue Audit, Payroll, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, asset identification, and order tracking. The trainee will work in different job functions and prepare to be promoted within the department.

  • Record order requests from departments casino-wide and provide to Staff Accountant for purchasing.
  • Prepare and maintain other spreadsheets as needed within the department.
  • Responsible for counting the inventory on a weekly basis in conjunction with the Receiving Supervisor.
  • Assist Staff Accountant, Revenue Audit Supervisor, and Controller with various projects as needed especially during the busier time of month-end.
  • Obtain machine readings for Revenue Audit per the Revenue Audit Supervisor's direction and scheduling.
  • Assist Accounts Payable clerk with the production and distribution of check runs.
  • Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.
  • Compiles statistical data for reporting purposes.
  • Prepares boxes for shipment, and maintains records of all shipments sent out; prepares shipments as needed.
  • Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Other duties as required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university. No experience in the field of Finance/Accounting are welcome.

Prior experience with Microsoft software and must include Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Outlook email.


Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate. Some college accounting courses preferred. Prior warehouse and receiving experience preferred.


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions, furnished in written, oral or diagram form.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
